Villa #PH2

Overall it was a great experience. We always love staying at Destin West. We love having the lazy river access, it makes a huge difference when you have kids. Also loved the personal hot tub that we had in this condo. Only complaint I would have is this certain one definitely needs some updates. The front door has a gap when it's shut, and is hard to open, there's some trim coming off in spots, and other small things, but didn't hurt the great experience. Would help if it was updated though.

Pros:spacious, high ceilings, double sinks,jacuzzi tub in master bath and 2 full bathrooms, washer/dryer in unit, hot tub on roof was clean (brought water testing strips &the chemicals were appropriate),views are better than expected:you can see the ocean and the bay from both floors, floor to ceiling sliding glass doors, blackout curtains in each room, parking is fantastic for this unit: you park steps away on the 6th floor:it was always easy to get a great spot, the lazy river and pools are beautiful. We had neighbors on both sides and never heard any of them. Either they were quiet or the sound proofing is fantastic. Hot tubs and pools on property were all very clean. Lots of tunes and chairs available. Lots of families. Check in and out was easy. Plenty of bathroom linens. Beach wasn't too crowded to the left
Cons:
Condo needs a deep clean, upon arrival we had dirty floors:dirt throughout and sticky drips of somethingin the kitchen(I swept and mopped the entire place upon arrival), smeared mirrors and stove top (looked wiped, but not with enough cleaning product to properly clean), disgustingly, I'm pretty sure there were vomit splatters on the wall in bathroom underneath the paper roll. The bunk matresses are very old and uncomfortable. The sofa bed mattress isn't great (most aren't) and the king mattress is mediocre at best. All could use a replacement. The outdoor deck table and chairs are in desperate need of replacement. A couple chairs are so rusted that you could get tetanus from them. There are a few that could be sat on, but they're in pretty bad shape. We visited from 10/8-10/15. Pools and lazy river were very cold, actually colder than the ocean. They have one seasonally heated pool. It was closed due to construction.
The dryer squeaks incessantly, has no lint trap insert and it ruined 2 of my shirts (pilling). Kitchen is semi poorly equipped. Bath tub jets were dirty. We brought jet cleaner, anticipating this

The PH2 condo is sizable and well appointed. Property is well maintained and has easy access with lots of convenient garage parking. I found the check in and out experience to be very efficient and simple as well.

Condo door doesn't close properly and needs some repairs made, but it was a small issue overall.

Our honeymoon stay was fantastic! When we initially booked this space we didn’t realize how much we would utilize the rooftop balcony and hot tub. Such a great spot with decent privacy! Clean, fun, easy access to so many fun things around town. Highly recommend!

Very satisfied with our experience with Destin West Vacations. Our rental was clean and stocked with the basic necessities. Plenty of pools to choose from. Beach/ocean are beautiful but not a lot of space for the size of the resort and amount of people. Too many rental chairs and umbrellas set up in prime sitting areas so you aren’t able to get a good spot unless you rent them and not everyone wants to rent them.

Overall the stay was wonderful VPH02 was not wonderful, though. The hot tub was worn out and did not work properly, The outside furniture did not exist around the hot tub, The downstairs outside furniture should have been replaced long ago. The entrance door was very difficult to open. My wife could not push it open. I highly recommend Destin West Villas, but please stay away from unit VPH02

Great Location. Loved you could park at the top of the parking garage and be right by the room. We enjoyed the evenings in the hot tub. Wish they had better patio furniture outside.

We loved this condo! It was the perfect location right in the middle of all of the pools and on the beach side as well. The views were amazing and having your own hot tub on the roof was one of out favorite things! You can drive to the top of the parking garage and park in front of the unit also. Everyone I spoke to at the front desk was exceptionally professional as well! The condo was larger than expected too and the bunk beds were on the other side of the condo with their own bathroom. Overall, it’s a great place and we will definitely be back!
