Sandpiper #608

We have been staying at Destin West for years. Love it here and Sanpiper 608 has become one of our favorite rooms. We love the decor and the balcony infront and poolside. We will definitely be back.

We have stayed here many times. There was a noticeable improvement in the property -new paint, cleaner, landscaping improved.
When we called on the day we arrived to see if our unit was ready, we were told no. When I asked when, the clerk said she could not find out. I suggested she call housekeeping and she said she did not have their number. She was rather insistent that we come and fill out the paperwork and then they would call when it was ready (2 trips from our location).
I know you can not be blamed for weaather but when we returned on tuesday, we found our patio furniture inside pushed against the couch and in front of the tv. It could have waited until wednesday evening. I'm sure your staff has access to the weather station just like I did.

We had an amazing time at Ft Walton.. the room was big and clean with plenty of space for 4 of us with extra room. We were VERY happy with the stay! Great central location so I could watch my 12yr old from the balcony while he was at the pool! Very satisfied with everything that was provided! Thank you so much!

This is my 3rd year at Destin West. Every year, the master bathroom shower does Not drain, which is very gross. I feel like the 1 bed 2 bath condos should only be listed as 1.5 bath because of the shower situation. The best thing about Destin West is the location and the amazing pools, which is why we tend to want to come back. However, the overall condition of Destin West seems to be declining. Hopefully that can remedied in the upcoming years.

Sandpiper 608 was a wonderful condo. One of the best we have used at Destin West. Super clean and well taken care of. Bed was super comfortable and everything was as described. We loved the double balconies for views of the bay and gulf. Will definitely be using this unit again

The location and facilities are great the condo has nice flooring and appearance. My thoughts for $300 per night... Struggled to get most of the remotes to work properly, the big tv is great but there is no soundbar, the master bedroom bed squeeks if you move and could use an update. They did not supply easy small helpful items, such as, dish soap, sponge, any laundry pods. There is important shelving missing in the fridge. Master tub drains extremely slow. The patio furniture is an old patio bar that looks as if no one uses it. Could use a patio table and chairs. There is no door to block the kids bunks from the main hallway. These are all things I expect to get (and have got) in a $300 per night condo in Destin West. Hope these things are addressed as I have seen some of them in other reviews for this unit. That being said, we would stay again knowing what we need to bring.

Very clean and cozy rental. The lazy river is a must for relaxation. It’s convenient location allows to to enjoy the bay and ocean side. It’s located close to the grocery store and local attractions. The pier is a must for seeing dolphins and pelicans.

We have stayed at Destin West for the last 7 years and have seen it decline over the last recent years. However we notice that several maintenance needs have been addressed and hopefully it will continue in that direction. The Condo itself was not as clean as it should have been and we should not have to clean up messes from a prior renter. Needless to say we still enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Sandpiper is a nicely furnished unit with a great view of the pool. Unit was spotless and properly stocked upon arrival and everything worked as it should. Only suggestion would be a new mattress/box spring in the master BR as it wasn't very supportive and squeaked a lot if you moved. Other than that, we loved it!!!

The resort and Sandpiper unit was perfect for our family. Destin West has a ton of pools to choose from, allowing kids to be entertained all day. The bridge to the beach was a big win for the family and allowed for access to the private beach, boardwalk and numerous dining locations. The sandpiper unit had a great bay view, lots of room and very clean.

We enjoyed the stay a great deal. First the accommodations were lovely. There was privacy for the parents, a space for the Little’s to feel independent and a comfortable hide-abed for Nonna to read or enjoy her time. The local activities were numerous and varied enough to even entertain on the rainy days. I would return.

We enjoyed our stay here. The property was gorgeous. I loved the hot tubs. Our only complaint is that the bedroom is right next to the highway and the traffic noise was terrible all night long.

Amazing views! Condo was beautiful! They really thought about the renter with all of the extra amenities. Balcony on gulf side and bay side was an extra surprise! The pools are amazing...so many to choose from...and the lazy river is the perfect way to distress and unwind!! The beach is a short walk over the skywalk. Beautiful white sand and blue green water...love it. So relaxing! Very satisfied with every aspect of our stay!

We loved this condo! It was nicely decorated, had two bathrooms which made it easy to get ready, the master balcony let us have ocean view which was a nice thing, and the kitchen was well stocked up with everything anyone can need. The pool balcony was an awesome place to eat. The place was clean and very functional. the master bed was a bit too soft and maybe worn out which wasn't good for our back but other than that everything was perfect. The location is hard to beat since this complex has so many pools and the lazy river. This is our third stay at this resort and we will be back on our next beach vacation. Nothing like the clear, emerald water of this area! We had a couple of days with double red flags which is unusual but other than that, we truly had the perfect vacation.

Absolutely beautiful view & unit overall. Love the decor and how very bright it was . The only problem was the refrigerator selfs were broke & very flimsy . The unit also was poorly cleaned with dirty towels still in the washing machine. I realize they were understaffed though. After cleaning and doing towels we had a great vacation! I would recommend this unit to a friend.

The location and views from this condo were great! The decor was beachy and welcoming. Definitely needs some updates. Large cracks in the ceiling, the shower faucet made a loud screeching noise, the laundry washer and dryer were extremely loud, the master bed mattress has dips and the bed creaked everytime I turned over. Lastly the sofa bed mattress was extremely uncomfortable. Worked for my kid but it would have been miserable for an adult. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay but wanted to let you know of some of the things that would have made our stay more comfortable.

Great Place: Everyone seems so nice, the guests, and I'm certain some of is because the atmosphere created by the staff. They are extremely friendly and helpful. Makes for a great vacation.
