The property description was just as it said. We enjoyed being so close to lazy river and dock.The property was well maintained, had everything we needed and more.The customer service was fantastic!!!We would recommend this property to anyone. We will try to come to Destin west at least once a year, this year didn’t disappoint.

Wonderful time with family. Pool and lazy River activities very close with plenty of seating options. Beach access easily accessible. Condo up to date and very comfortable for 7 people. Only complaint is elevators were not functioning at times and all elevators were extremely hot without ventilators.

We love Destin West and have stayed here many times. We loved the location of this unit as one of my kids loves the pool, while the other loves to fish in the bay. The patio was in desperate need of some TLC (weeds growing through the brick pretty bad, nothing some weed killer and TLC won't fix) but all in all a great stay. We had a great time and would rent this unit again.

This unit was perfect. Although we didn’t realize there wasn’t a sofa bed. Should have though because the max occupancy is 6 for a 3 bedroom. Thankfully we have multiple units with family so we shipped kids to grandparents.

Very clean. Lazy river was relaxing. Next door to pontoon boat rental to crab island. Comfortable, quiet. Would come again.

This was our 4th time staying at the Destin West Resort and our first time renting a Lanai condo. We loved the location of this unit; directly across from the lazy river, easy access to the grassy common areas for the kids to burn some energy and close to the dock for great fishing.

While the location is amazing, this unit does need some improvements to achieve a 5 star rating. When we arrived the floors appeared to not have been cleaned, there was sand/dirt on the tile and carpet. There was a vacuum in this unit so we were able to clean the surface sand/dirt when we arrived but who wants to do that on vacation. Even though we could vacuum, the floors left black scum on our feet; likely the floors had not been mopped in some time and feet washing became a nightly ritual before bed. The private jacuzzi on the patio was a nice amenity but chemical balance seemed off, by the end of the week it was turning green.

Other than cleanliness the living room furniture could use more seating space, for a family of 5 there was limited seating. The master bedroom mattress is honestly harder than the floor and very uncomfortable; the other two beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is lacking some useful utensils: cutting board, scissors, large cooking pot, skillet.

We made due with what we had access too and with a little ingenuity were able overcome some of the challenges with this unit; our vacation was still a great success and we will stay at Destin West again; would even choose this unit again if the constructive feedback provided is addressed.

Very nice unit. Very comfortable for our family of 4 plus grandma that traveled with us. It was just a few steps away from the elevator which was nice for our mobility challenged family.

My wife & I work remotely and decided to be snowbirds for 5 weeks this winter. We needed a place that offered room for both of us to work as well as high speed wifi. We decided to try The Destin West Beach & Bay Resort. The resort has beach & bay access, 6 pools (4 heated), 3 hot tubs, a gym, a lazy river (not heated), a fishing pier w/boat docking, covered parking, a beautiful beach & a skywalk to cross the main road. The resort is walkable to numerous places to eat & drink. The staff is friendly, helpful and the grounds are well kept (buildings are currently being repainted to an updated grey & blue color).
We loved staying in the Destin West Osprey L04 suite. This is an open floor plan 3 bedroom/2.5 bath suite w/private laundry room. The suite is roomy, I would guess about 1650ft2. Bedroom 1 is a queen bed & 1⁄2 bath. Bedroom 2 is a queen bed & full bath. The Master bedroom has a king bed & full bath w/double sinks, private toilet, shower & jetted tub. The kitchen is good size & includes granite, SS appliances &, has all the pots/pans/utensils you could want (blender, toaster, regular coffee pot, Keurig, etc.). The living room (& master bedroom) both have sliding glass doors to the oversized lanai. The lanai was big enough for a table with seating for 5 plus 2 loungers. We also had a private patio with a 4 person hot tub & gas grill a few steps below the lanai level. The patio is at ground level making easy to get to the pools, lazy river, fishing pier, etc. The suite was clean, well kept and everything worked as it should.
This is a rental suite, don’t expect everything to be brand new. There are some stains in the carpet areas (bedrooms) and the couches. The lanai & patio could use a power washing. One of the patio chairs was broken but still usable. Little things like that. Having said that, I would absolutely recommend the resort and the suite to anyone. In fact, we have already booked our return stay for winter

We decided to take our granddaughter back to the place we used to take our kids and man did we have a blast. The condo is convenient and generally well maintained. Definitely would stay here again.

Had a wonderful vacation. Weather was great. Condo very clean. A little disappointed in upper and lower patio. Needed a good cleaning and weeds removed. Overall, a very comfortable unit. Had a 2 hour delay in checkin. I should have read our checkin instructions more closely.
