This unit needs some TLC

We have stayed at Destin west for a few years now. We love the location and the size of the condo's. This condo needs some work. The ice maker and Cable box in the living room, didn't work the entire week. One of the bathrooms had a leak in the ceiling and peeling dropping paint from the ceiling. The carpets were dirty. The dishwasher was too rusty to use. It took three calls to management to get the maintenance guy to come to the unit. He was very nice, but nothing was fixed. I am sure whoever came in the day we left, found the same problems.

Third Visit to Destin West

We attend a charity event called Rock by the Sea, the first weekend/week in May. In the 3 years of staying at Destin West, I've noticed a decline in upkeep. The Dishwasher either needs to be replaced or the racks do...rust is always a fight in the salt air...A couple of the cabinets were propped up against each other to look functional, but it requires upkeep! A bedroom ceiling is in need of repair. Told we could deal with it, or move to a different condo...we dealt with it.

Issues

Patio doors were very difficult to open.

SECOND VISIT TO DESTIN WEST

This was our second year at Destin West! We love it hear. We love the music at Rick's on the Island and being able to walk next door is a perk Rock by the Sea has set up for us.

TeamSummers

We were elated as we walked through the door. So much room, comfort, and view. The balcony was enormous and so well appointed for several guests. So much space for everyone beds, closets, bathrooms. Comfort everywhere. The washer and dryer were nice to have. The grounds, pools, and exercise room, provided with the stay were all top shelf. My only problem was the need for wristbands to be in the common areas. With so many in our party it was a pain to pay $40 for each missing blue rubber band.

Always Great with Destin West

We love it at Destin West! My family and I keep coming back every year. My only suggestion would be to have a better plunger for obvious reasons. It has no suction. Everything else was top notch!

Always fun to get Family together at a Destin West. 5th year

We really like all the different pools work out facility lazy River and beach front. We grill out one night Kitchen has a lot of supplies Dishwasher has seen better days Sofas tend to sag in the centers Love our views weather this year was great!

Super spacious

There was room for everyone which was absolutely perfect. So close to the beach and so many pools to choose from made vacation fabulous! Condo does need more attention when being cleaned bathrooms felt a bit moldy floors need a deep scrub and the beds and box springs need to be replaced very badly.

Great place to stay

We found this condo complex very nice! It was clean and grounds and pools were very well kept! Views of the bay were second to none and we could walk to the beach, ricks and rockin tacos!!! Check in was easy and parking was never a problem! Kids loved the lazy river most of all!!
