Heron #PH03

We love this unit! Try to rent it out every time it's available 2x a year. No space I have seen like it! A full bathroom per bedroom is HEAVEN! The view from the balcony up top is breath taking! Also, lets mention the view while you're cooking breakfast every day! Also love that the curtains are all electronic for darkening effect if needed, I will admit this took us a second to figure out from the remotes! Any issues we had were corrected and immediately looked at!

The unit is huge and very convenient to the elevator and parking. It could use some updating of some fixtures and furniture, but overall it's great. The Master Suite has beautiful views. It's nice too wake up to the sunrise over the bay. The staff was very friendly and do a great job of cleaning the building and grounds.

We loved everything about the place. It has all the cooking utilities you will need. The only thing I was upset about was no cushions for the chaises upstairs. The place was spacious and enjoyed watching fireworks from the rooftop. I do wish it had a grill upstairs. Every other rooftop unit had a grill. We would love to stay here again.

Overlly spacious condo! Bed's and furniture very comfy! Loved the large dining room table for hosting friends to come enjoy a nice meal in the evenings. The view and space up top can not be competed with! The steam shower in the master bath is life saving after a full day of sun! The kitchen is very spacious and has your basic needs. Only complaint is no tupperware for your long term stays and cooking every night. I also would LOVE to see a grill on that upper deck for the private patio and the price of the penthouse, but that's just a wishlist. Loved our stay, already booked for 6 months from now!

This condo was elite. Top tier. The pictures simply did not do it justice. The only hiccups I would suggest for improvement would be better labeling on light switches. There are a lot and it took until 6 days into our stay for us to feel comfortable with what was what. The other hiccup was the tv would sparingly go black for a second before the picture came back. All in all, it’s a great spot and well worth the money!

Our stay was very good. This unit is very large in size. There are many dings, scratches and stains however in this unit that need some love and the furniture needs updating. We had 6 adults and an 8 month old so we were comfortable. Hot tub area needs some love and better furniture as well.

The condo itself is a beautiful one. On the to balcony, views are beautiful. The location was convenient to activities we wanted to do. Which was pool, beach, and eat. Several of our activities were only 10/15 minute drive. This room had several cosmetic issues. We could not use the hot tub due to electric problems. The washer was also effected by electric. (Kept tripping) The outside chairs were frayed, comfy room/hip wise. The ice machine in bar area wouldn't work. Behind the beds, night stands, closet areas there was a ton of dust. The condo seemed to be rush cleaned. Like I said, several cosmetic things. One restaurant we went to was Fuddruckers. It was a pricey one. Personally, I didn't enjoy the food all to well. My husband said the gator bites were good. We enjoyed our visit to Fort Walton.

We've stayed with Destin West for the past several years, and the check-in / out process couldn't be easier. Everything is always ready. And this year, we stayed in Heron PH-03 which was absolutely PERFECT! In fact, as soon as it becomes available for next year -- we intend to re-book it.

The facility is fine. Crowded. Very good location to Ft Walton activities. The front desk staff, however, was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They were generally a young staff. But very professional.

We had a very nice time in this condo. The layout was great for our family. We only had a few issues - the lights were very frustrating - it took almost the whole week to figure out which switches worked which lights. Would be nice if they were labeled. Also the TVs were old - could not plug in a Roku stick. Volume would not work on the TV in the living room. Window shades also needed instructions on how to work. The existing instructions (according to maintenance) were not correct. Otherwise we had a very nice experience there.

We absolutely loved our Penthouse . The view was gorgeous, the rooms were very nice the only thing that was missing was a TV and more lighting in the front room . We had a hard time sewing in there. Also the toliets had black build up in them and we bought some clorox and cleaned them. Other than that we enjoyed our stay . I would recommend this room and I hope to book this Penthouse in the future .

The unit was great. Large with 3br, 3.5ba. I feel the unit is designed to target a higher class with darker wood trims and pain color. Lots of remotes that control many different things like the shades. Work great once you figure them out and the batteries have life.
The living room furniture could use an update.
Nice large capacity washer and dryer in the unit. Great having a separate ice maker for daily cooler refills.
They boast heated pools but it was obvious to us and other pool patrons that they didn't have the heat on until mid-week of our stay. A noticeable difference.
Worst part of this unit was the walk to the gym, about a quarter a mile. The beach is further than that.

The views from this location are amazing. We enjoyed coffee from our bed while watching the sunrise. It is big enough for everyone to have there own space. However, the room does need a little TLC. It was a bit dirty and the hot tub would leak all day and have to be refilled to use. That being said we will be booking again next time we visit.

Absolutely loved staying here, everything is clean, top notch quality, and the hot tub is literally the best reason to stay here. It's also a plus that every room has their own shower. It also has a fully stocked kitchen with pots/pans/dishes so you can cook your meals. Only booking this penthouse from now on!

This penthouse unit is very spacious and luxurious. The kitchen was very well equipped and the expansive view of the bay made meal preparation more enjoyable. The resort is very well maintained with plenty of pools to choose from. The skywalk makes the walk to the beach very convenient. There are many restaurants within walking distance and Destin is a short commute.
