Enjoy breathtaking views of the Choctawhatchee Bay and the incredible 700 foot lazy river pool in this tastefully decorated three bedroom, two bathroom unit with large private balcony located on the 4th floor.

Condominium flooring updated November 2022. The elegantly furnished master en suite has a king-size bed, a private master bathroom with jetted garden tub, separate tiled shower, double vanity and large walk-in closet. A second private bedroom has a very comfortable Queen bed. A third private bedroom has two Twin beds. All bedrooms include 32" LED flat screen TVs. Inside the armoire in the twin room, you will find board games both children and adults will enjoy!

Your family can relax in the living room and enjoy the 60" Samsung LED TV or use the Blu-ray/DVD player to watch movies in HD. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and everything you will need to make a quick snack, bake or prepare a gourmet meal. In addition, the unit features a laundry room with washer and dryer for your convenience. This unit is tiled throughout with carpet in the bedrooms. The beautiful sugar-white sand beach and emerald coast waters is easily accessible by using the sky-walk within the Resort. Free Wi-Fi included.

Beautiful location

Nice sized rental home, great location, conveniently located for easy access to the beach or shops. beautiful view from the balcony. All staff was extremely friendly and helpful during check-in and check out. We absolutely loved the lazy river. Things that could be improved, the couch was old and sinks in the middle. It could definitely use more seating in the living room area. For a 10 day stay, they only provided two rolls of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels. Two packs of dishes soap l, and an and a minimal amount of towels. They gave no sponge or dish soap no laundry detergent since they don’t provide you with any more linens. and then asked for you to pick up after yourself upon checkout. That was a little bit frustrating. The floors felt dirty like there was sand on there at the moment you walk in.

Perfect location!

Beautiful resort convenient to everything that you need for the perfect vacation. The condo needed a sofa & Master bedroom mattress upgrade but everything else was so wonderful it made up for the difference. I would definitely stay here again.

Best vacation

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Destin West Bayside. We stayed in Heron 404. The room was very clean and relaxing. The view from the balcony was amazing of the bay and lazy river. We will definitely be going back.

Girls Trip 2023

We rented a beautiful condo in the Heron building. The master bedroom had a gorgeous view of the bay, pool, and lazy river. Our balcony was spacious and a wonderful place to relax. The condo was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We enjoyed spending time at the beach and the pools as part of the resort. We went for a boat ride with "Bottom's Up" which is right next door behind Rich's. All we had to do was walk through the gate to get there! The price for the afternoon dolphin, bay, and harbor tour was by far the best price we found. We would love to return to Destin West.

Awesome Get a Way

Great place to stay

This was our 5th visit to Destin West. We will come back again. You can enjoy the pools, lazy river or the beach. There is something for everyone and it's a quiet location.

Heron 404

Other than not being able to get in the room until 5:00 pm after I had spoken to someone in the office 2 weeks prior to coming to let them know we would be arriving early that morning and they said our room should be ready by 1:00 pm it was great.

Excellent condo

This condo was perfect for our family! Very well laid out and spacious! The balcony is extra large as well and you can see both the bay and the pool area. We spent hours sitting out there visiting, watching the boats, and have a wonderful time! We would definitely stay here again. thanks for having us!

Second stay at Heron #404

Love the large balcony & awesome view of the lazy river and bay. The condo is not overly decorated which leaves more room for your own things. There were plenty of towels, wash cloths, etc. Master bath shower floor & towel bar needs repair.

Awesome rental!!

We LOVED Destin West and Heron 404!! So roomy and easy to get my son's power chair all through the unit!! I wish we had known the 3-4 inch threshold piece was there and not accessible for a power chair so we could have made arrangements to have something to get him out on the deck. Other than that, it was perfect!! Thank you for an awesome week!!

Destin 2021 trip

The property was beautiful & well maintained. Loved the lazy river! Heron 404 was a wonderful condo to visit. We had everything we needed. All the appliances & furniture were in great shape. The only thing that we disliked during our stay was the huge amount of rental chairs & umbrellas on the beach. There were so many that we felt like anyone who didn’t rent one was unwelcome. There was literally 4-5 rows of chairs starting 8 feet or so from the water. It was difficult to even get past all the chairs to get to the water. We considered driving our car to a public beach, but ended up just spending more time by the pool. It’s just a shame to go on a beach vacation & not feel welcome at the beach area by the condo you are renting. We would still consider returning to Destin West, mostly because of the beautiful pool area and very comfortable condo we stayed in.

Relaxing Vacation

Wonderful view of the bay, great lazy river and pools. Beach was overcrowded with rental chairs and umbrellas that few rented because thst were pushed together so close. Leaving no room to just sit on the sand.
