This spacious three bedroom, three bathroom condo offers exclusive waterfront views throughout and plenty of privacy to relax after a long day in the water or out in town.

The master en suite with king-size bed, walk-in shower, and jacuzzi style tub. Additional rooms include two guestrooms with queen-size and two-twin size beds respectively, a full kitchen with in-unit washer and dryer, and a dining room. The living room is furnished with a queen-size sleeper sofa, and plenty of extra seating. Each room includes its own entertainment center and storage.

Free Wifi and convenient access to beach, bay, all community pools and lazy river as well as private Heron swimming pool are included with this unit.

GREAT TIME!

WE HAD A GREAT TIME AT RICK'S ON THE ISLAND and in the Lazy River! WE'll be back for the charity music festival, Rock by the Sea.

Review of 301

We enjoyed our family time together in 301. It had a great location and a lot of amenities- pool area. We also enjoyed the patio and view from the balcony. Our condo did need some updates and work done. Honestly we haven’t stay in any condos past few years that was not in good shape upon arrival. There were some large brown stains on the carpets in the back two bedrooms- really needs to be replaced. The main carpet in the living room had a corner that was all rolled up- tripping hazard. The master bedroom was in good shape but the bathroom had broken tile around the shower/tub area that looked like it was shattered and barely hanging on by some glue. Also there were brown streaks on the baseboards - maybe brown paint but it looked like something else. One piece of furniture had a broken area. An outdoor patio chair was unraveling at the bottom leg. The ice in the ice maker kept getting lodged in the door part making it hard to get ice. The pillows also need replacing -seemed old in the twin room. The beach chairs in the closet were broken, rusty and need replacing. The past 2 condos we stayed in at the Destin West had nice chairs even with a buggy to use for the travel across the bridge. We wouldn’t stay again in this condo again due to the condition of it.

Winter getaway

Unit has great views and a great location. Easy access to the beach and love watching all the activity on the bay.

Unit is large and well laid out and well equipped.

Dishwasher is on its last legs; racks are in bad shape. Carpet needs cleaned or replaced. Stained and grungy looking. Master bed mattress needs replaced as well.

Room 301

Love the room and the location. But, the owners need to replace the master bedroom bed, it sounds like the wood is breaking and every time you move it’s very loud , it could be heard on the other side of the condo. Also need to replace the tv. There are 8 white spots on the screen permanently. Carpets we’re pretty dirty also, I would not go barefooted on the carpet.

Family Fun Without Locking Doors

Love the Destin West and have for over 20 years. Love the Destin West Heron #301 with two exceptions; none of the bedroom or bathroom doors have locks on them. And the kitchen basic cookware was deficient. Heron 301 is beautifully appointed and spacious! It was clean and very comfortable for 7 adults and 1 six yr. old. Will be back; looking for lockable doors and kitchen to have basic housewares. All in all a 9 out of 10. Just couldn’t risk adult behavior, if you know what I mean.

301 Destin West Heron #301 Destin West

Place was clean & lots of space. Loved the floor layout. Balcony was great & enjoyed the outdoor furniture.

Little disappointed that there was no cooking sheets (had to buy some) & no Keurig coffee maker. Main TV was not a smart TV so had to use our own roku stick. TV also had 8 white spots on the screen which interfered with the picture quality.
I also had to borrow a hair dryer from the front office.

Master bedroom's kingsize bed was not very comfortable. They really need to replace the mattress.

Front office personnel are very helpful & nice.

Winter getaway

Had a beautiful month away from Ohio,s snow and ice! This unit has great views of the bay and to the west for sunsets. Always enjoy coming back here in the winter.

Perfect family trip

This was the second time we stayed in this unit. The view was absolutely beautiful. We have been staying at Destin West a couple times a year in different units. Everyone in the family has something to do from the youngest to the oldest. It’s perfect for families.

Family Vacation 2021

My family and I visited for the second time in July 2021. It was a great experience, our refrigerator was leaking when we arrived and the staff was quick to replace it with a brand new one, we always enjoy staying at Destin West. The family had a great time, and enjoyed all the pools and the short walk to the beach. God willing, we will come back next summer.
