Gulf #515

Have stayed at Destin West Gulf MANY times. First time in this particular condo. Love the property and love the area. Only reason for 4 stars for property's general condition is because there were little things (i.e. no sink stopper in kitchen sink, washing machine made an awful noise when agitating, tv in bunk rooms didn't work and when brought to the attention of the property management, they gave us the number for cable company to call and resolve the issue and connect, but it did not work). Those things aside, it did not ruin our trip as we weren't there to spend all day/night in the condo.

We stayed for a long birthday weekend and what a great time! Thr resort is everything you could want. From location to amenities I give them 5 stars. Everything was clean and well maintained. The view from G515 is worth the price of admission. It was well stocked, clean and comfortable. We will return. P.S. The lazy river is AMAZING ��!!!

It was great except the battery went out on the door key pad and were stuck outside from 11:30-1:00 in the morning until maintenance arrived.

Condo was great, had 2 coffee machines Keurig and standard drip coffee. Kitchen had all the basic items needed for cooking. Only complaint wishe there was different patio furniture or more seating on patio and shower liner in bathroom needs to be changed. Other than that very comfotable and great views. corners in bathroom could be cleaned

The location and property were ideal. This is what we were looking for. We traveled with my two small children. The access to the beach was amazing. We would return.

My complaint is the enforcement of a family friendly property. The first night we arrived the hot tub that was below our balcony was full of people that were drinking and smoking both cigarettes and pot. The next days we in countered people drinking in the lazy river and in the hot tub below our balcony.

The only other small complaint is that the condo could use a cleaning with closer attention to detail. Behold the doors and along the baseboards were very dirty.

Great place to stay. Loved the condo we booked G515. Enjoyed the beach and the location was close to all the ball fields. The accommodations were perfect for our team & all the adults that accompanied them. Perfect location. We had a minor problem with our washer in our unit, & it was solved so quickly we were amazed! Emily, in the office, was extremely helpful from the time we booked and throughout our stay!! We hope to return there.

The condo was nice. Spare bunk bed room was a little small but worked out. Little amenities such as salt, pepper, coffee filters, laundry detergent packs would have been nice. View of the ocean and beach chair service was great.

Perfect location! Close to boardwalk, Gulfarium and fishing pier. We didn’t need a car. Most of the pools are heated. Our room had 2 toddler rails for the bunk room. The bunk room worked out perfect for our 2 year old. The view was amazing from our balcony. Loved this place

A week before our scheduled stay at Destin West Gulf #515 we were slammed by Hurricane Ida. 4 days and nights with no power, a damaged roof, and a closed vet where our dogs were supposed to be boarded. It seemed that Ida was determined to squash our vacation plans this year just as Covid-19 had done last year. Somehow, it all fell together at the 11th hour and we were able to escape our troubles and woes, if only temporarily, for a 4-night stay in paradise. The location was perfect, the accommodations were nothing short of excellent. Everything we needed was a sandy stroll or 5 minute drive from our condo which only added to the relaxation factor. Don't know when we'll get to go back but when we do, we'll try to duplicate this experience to a tee.

The property was overall very beautiful and in a great location!

A few things I would recommend improvement on:
- The dryer had the tendency to “burn” clothing - even on the coolest settings.
- In the master bath, the toilet paper holder was in an odd location and would touch you when using the facilities.
- There was not a curtain over the bedroom window and you could see into the room from the outside walkway.

Now, on to the positives (because there were many!):
- The view was STUNNING from the condo.
- Plenty of toiletries were supplied.
- The unit was VERY clean and smelled fresh. The only exception was the showers had minor buildup that could be eliminated by a deep clean and the shower curtain liner needed to be replaced.
- The location of the unit was perfect for us!
- The complimentary Beach Service was the best part of our stay. It was a life saver and a huge value-added amenity.
- The lazy river and pool were wonderful. We were very pleased with these two offerings.
- The price for this unit is very fair - especially for all amenities.
- There were dishes provided in the unit which made our stay much easier.
- The private beach access was very nice and we loved the ability to just pop down to the beach in a few steps.
- Staff for the resort were very friendly and eager to help!
- The check in and out process was very easy.
- The decor was pleasant and furniture was in good shape. Pleased with these offerings.

Overall, we definitely would return and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I’d highly recommend this unit. It is perfect for a single couple or 1-2 adults with 1-2 children.

Wonderful relaxing vacation. Condo was fairly clean for most part. You have beautiful views of the ocean from the fifth floor. Love all the options from close proximity to ocean, various pool options and lazy River for kids! This unit is close to the garage entrance to which our family appreciated. Only down fall is the floors are very sandy and sticky. However it is not to discouraging since this is our families third time staying at this resort!!
