We loved the location! The balcony and view were amazing. The small bathroom is in desperate need of some paint and baseboards and the power outlets weren't working in the kitchen, but other than that we loved it.

This place is great! Love the pool size and shape. Room was nice. Loved the large balcony, although the door did not open and close well. Great experience to be so close to the beach and also have access to the other Destin West pools.

Overall, this unit was fine. It is quite outdated but that didn't really bother me. It has a great location and the view from the patio is beautful!! My complaint is that it was very dirty. I had to clean the showers myself before we used them. The carpets are very stained and they weren't vacuumed before we checked in. The baseboards are all filthy. It was fine as we just slept there for the most part but this unit really needs to be thoroughly cleaned before anyone else stays there.

Nice condo with an ocean view and beach access. I always love staying at the Destin West. Great pool and hot tub by the beach. This is a nice one bedroom condo.

We had a seamless rental experience. This was our first family beach vacation and first time ever staying in a condo. The location of the room was fantastic. Close to the elevators, great view from the balcony of the ocean and the pool/hot tub. The only thing that needs improvement is the furniture inside the condo. Many of the tables and chairs seemed like they were going to fall apart at any moment. The bunks need some maintenance as well as they too seemed to be on their last legs. The high table and chair on the balcony also needs maintenance or replaced. Everything else was great. The staff was all very helpful and friendly. The facilities of the resort were great. It would be nice if there were additional rolls of toilet paper, paper towels and bathing towels. Overall it was a fantastic experience and we can't wait to come back!

This condo needs a remodel and a new sliding glass door. It's awful to try to open, and the rollaway bed in the living room is gross and needs thrown out. Otherwise, the condo is a nice location and had everything you need for a weeks stay even in the kitchen. If you can overlook some things this is a nice place to stay due to location.

We arrived several hours before check in (4pm). We checked in and was told we would be called when our condo was ready so we went to McGuire's. Shortly after checking in, around 2pm, I was called to say our room was ready(3pm). Long story short, they could have spent the last hour cleaning as I found a case (minus 1) of empty twisted tea cans in the dresser drawer and some dirty underwear beside the bed. If they missed that, what else did they not clean? Overall, great condo, great location. Our 2nd time staying here because we love the pools and location. Just need to focus more on cleaning. I'm on vacation and shouldn't have to clean!

We stayed here the first week of October. Outside the resort was well maintained, and looked great. However, can't say the same about our unit. Just walking in it "looked" clean but there were cob webs and dust all along the base boards. The carpet felt hard just from long time water damage. The couch was stained, the bar stools were half broken (if you leaned against the back of them they were uneven) and the door is going to damage someone's shoulder opening it bc it was so difficult to open. Also the bunk bed ladder was a little rickety and dirty (should be white but were blackened feom dirty feet. Just need a good mr clean magic eraser scrub. The "beach chairs and umbrella" included is nice but the process is terrible. You have to get in line every morning to get them. It's not the same set of chairs the entire week. The plus is all the pools. We enjoyed them, however the seasonally heated pools werent heated until mid way through our stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would stay in a different unit next time.

This is our third time staying at Destin West, we love the property, location and amenities. Nice view of the ocean, but the unit was not clean like previous years stayed. Also sliding door to balcony was almost impossible to open. If staying in this unit you may want a broom and a few cleaning products. Plenty of areas to sleep and a full size kitchen was helpful.

We love the location of this resort. It is super convenient to yummy seafood and ice cream places! This is our fifth visit to Destin West, but the first time to rent through the resort rather than VRBO. Overall, our condo was in pretty good condition. The floor and walls had some stains that we reported and the dishwasher would not lock so it wouldn’t turn on. There was a leak from the ac unit into the condo below that they reported; unfortunately this meant maintenance coming in three separate times to work on it, and only one of these times were we given a heads up. It was uncomfortable for a man to be letting himself in with three ladies unannounced. In addition, the lazy river and waterfall pool were not clean; the pool water was super cloudy. Luckily the pool on the gulf side was cleaner. It was sad to find out that they no longer have a partnership with the Island next door so we could not go to that pool either. I hope that by next year, the quality is back up to what it used to be.

The condo was great for what we needed. The view is spectacular and it’s conveniently located near elevator and parking garage.
They do have a washer/dryer even though it’s not listed on amenities...this is a game changer!

Bring the following items:
Dish towels, paper towel, trash bags, toilet paper, counter cleaner & laundry detergent. The unit did supply a small amount but it won’t last the full week.

The sliding door is a PAIN. It’s super heavy, doesn’t slide well or close completely.

The unit was not super clean upon our arrival. The outside of toilet bowls, and dishes in cabinets all needed to be wiped down. The master bedroom had a musty smell (prob from carpet being wet over the years).

We have stayed at Destin West many times. The most outstanding thing about visiting for Thanksgiving weekend is the peace and tranquility of the property. Very few guests are there, making our stay a relatively quiet experience. The unit was clean and had all the amenities we required. We checked in on Thanksgiving evening. The Destin West management team made sure everything we needed was inside the unit so that we would be able to access it when their office was closed. It was a nice touch and made things easy.

This was a great location. It had everything you could ask for with a perfect view of the pool and ocean. It was in walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. I'd highly recommend this unit to anyone.

The condo was exactly as expected, clean and with great views of the gulf. The bed in the ottoman was super great, so that we could keep the couch as it was and use that for our oldest son to sleep. The condo does have a washer/dryer which was also a plus and not listed as one of the amenities. We do wish it would have had some basic necessities like dish soap in the kitchen (there was dishwasher soap), dishrags in the kitchen (there were only hand towels), and extra trash bags. There were only 2 so we ended up buying some. Other than those few things, everything was GREAT!
