We enjoyed our stay. Initially, we had an issue with Cox Internet, which the eventually fixed. Would prefer to have a internet passcode, as open networks can cause issues with the security on your phones, etc

The view more than makes up for the lack of comfort. Beds need updating, the mattresses are worn and need to be replaced. The couch is very dated as well and sinks in where you sit. The master closet had a mildew smell but I bought something for that. The whole condo could use a refreshing but the view makes up for it.

Destin West is a great resort with easy access to local restaurants, great pools, private beaches and comfortable condos. However, it could use a little more attention to detail. Our condo master bath and closet had a strong odor of mildew and mildew/mold was visible on the caulk around the shower.

Nice condo with beach chair service included. New floors and nicely furnished. King size mattress needs to be replaced. Numerous TV’s, but cable renovations were being performed during our stay and none of the TV’s worked.

We enjoyed our stay at Destin West G306. The property description and pictures were accurate; and we were very pleased with the pleasant beach decor. The fresh paint inside the unit and around the whole exterior of the property looked great. The property was clean and well-maintained. We especially enjoyed the close proximity (walking distance) to the Boardwalk and the fishing pier where there are restaurants and shops. My granddaughters really enjoyed the Luau Beach Party at the Boardwalk on Friday night. The Lazy River on the bay side is also one of our favorite amenities here. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and relatives.

The resort was was always clean. Convenient location close to everything you might need to have a relaxing or adventurous vacation. Beds were comfortable and clean room upon arrival.

We always enjoy our time at this resort. Unit 306 was overall good, but could use some updating/deep cleaning. As noted in previous reviews, the master shower has black slime all over the bottom inside door. The floors are dirty & sticky. I realize this can't be helped to some degree with sand being tracked in, and people not treating a rental like their own home and spraying on sunscreen inside the unit. But, something more than just a quick mop between renters in needed. Also, the chairs stacked on the balcony outside the master bedroom are heavily rusted. The seat on one of them is completely broken away from the side. These should all be replaced.
The property itself is really good. Location is great with restaurants and shops in walking distance. A large gulf side pool that never really seems too crowded, although there could be more tables/umbrellas available. There is plenty of room for it and more lounge chairs would likely be appreciated during peak times. It is a short, scenic drive through the dunes to Destin. This unit included beach service.

Unit was little outdated and less essentials provided than we thought. No dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent to name a few. Plus maintenance was slow to respond; only had 1 working sink in master entire week, even though we called first day. Aside from that the beds were very comfortable, plenty of room for family of 6, and east access to beach. Very family friendly and good fitness center.

Love staying at Destin West the pools/lazy River, close access to beach, easy check in & check out. The unit we stayed in this time is dated & needs some updates. It worked for our needs though.

We had a nice stay and love the area. The condo needs some extra cleaning (especially the master bath) and upgrades. We did have issues with the small appliances but they were replaced right away when we brought this to the attention of the management company. Love the area and have stayed at other condos that were clean with upgrades. Will be back but not to this room unless improvements have been made.

We never have complaints about our stay at the Destin West. But I will say, our condo was a little run down and could definitely use some updates.

This unit is a nice condo on the gulf side of the resort with a good view of the beach / ocean. It was very quiet with the exception of noise from The Island Resort next door from 9-10 am and evening (i.e., cheerleading camp / practice in the morning and noise from the bar in the evenings). There were a few inconveniences that would've made the stay better had they been offered such as Kleenex/tissues in the bathrooms, dish cloth to wash dishes in the kitchen, drying rack or place to put wet dishes, small bottle of dish soap, hangars in the closets and screens on the sliding doors. The shower stall in the master needs to be replaced as does some of the furniture throughout. However, it appeared that the resort is in the process of replacing the furniture. There were a couple of days during our stay when we had employees on our deck doing updates. It would have been nice to know that this would occur though the workers were as quiet as possible. The pools were freezing and the hot tubs were not consistently open. Our unit (#306 Gulf Side) included daily beach setup which was awesome, as it would have cost $40 per day for an umbrella and 2 chairs. The check-in process was very easy though we didn't know that we were supposed to check in across the street from our building, as this information was not included during the reservation process. But we figured it out after wandering around with another family having the same dilemma. The resort location is good, as you are within walking distance of the Boardwalk that has multiple restaurants and a few stores. We definitely appreciated the garage parking and keyless entry.

This is a well-maintained property with access to the beach and its 'sister' property for a reasonable price. It is my third time staying here and have enjoyed every experience. Check it out!
