Gulf #116

We travelled with 3 grandkids and we all love the resort and it’s location. The beach is divine. We didn’t drive anywhere. We stayed on the gulf side and walked over the sky bridge to lazy river and bay-side, dock fishing and we would do that again. We liked being in a unit near the hot tub- access was nice and it was too noisy.

Great location on the ground level right next to the hot tub and pool. The sliding door to the living room, does need some attention. It would. not stayed locked. You could tell this unit has some wear and tear, but overall, we enjoyed our stay!

We love this resort but had no choice in rooms since our reservation was canceled in a diff room we booked. This condo had just a couple items that were beach related. Colors were crazy. I understand not all beach rentals have a beach feel and funds are limited. Owners need to go in and at least wash the wash and doors down. Toaster and coffee pot were old and same with the pans. I wish renters would help take care of others property as much as we do.
Positive.... The beds were comfortable, bring your own pillow if you're picky. Location is great to parking lot and you are right outside next to the jacuzzi, good and bad depending if you like to hear everything that goes on in it. We didn't mind. Overall we will stay there again next year just a diff room. The property itself is very clean and nice.
If I could add one thing, there is no music that plays by the pool and no restaurant or bar.

Always love coming to Destin West, been doing so for many years now. 116 is a good location, but needs some help. Its description should include the fact that the fridge is in poor condition. The ice maker does not work and it has only one ice tray. It needs some additional help, but the fridge is critical.

We had a nice 5 night stay at the resort. Our room was the one and only ADA room available. My only concerns being a complete T-6 paraplegic in a wheelchair was the bathroom design. They had lots of room in the bathroom but it differently could use some improvements. The shower stall could have installed a hand held shower option and maybe another grab bar and different door design. They could have installed grab bars along the tub. For the bedroom the only concern was it was a little high for someone in a wheelchair to jump in and out of. The glass door jams going out to the back patio and pool area where high they could use some ramp mats to make it easier on wheelchairs going in and out of. For the the outside pool and hot tub it would be nice if they had wheelchair pool lift. Other than than we had an awesome stay. I was able to rent a sand wheel chair that was delivered to the resort which I could ride it right down to the beach.
