This is our 7th time to Destin West. We love the convenience of the boardwalk, restaurants , shops, and the short walk to the boat rental. You don’t have to leave. Shops, restaurants, etc all within walking distance.

My only complaint would be the night staff who would come by to get everyone out of the pool area was pretty rude and very impatient. Demanding that we move our chairs back and get out of the pool area. This was the first time in all the years we’ve stayed here that someone was rude, hateful, and demanding.

Our condo was well equipped on the 1st floor with a huge patio right in front of the pool.

It would be nice if the chair rentals would open a little earlier or if there was a sign in sheet or something or could reserve all week instead of having to get in line each morning. We would get in line at 7:30 sometimes earlier and they don’t open until 9:00. We always like to get first pick of chairs.

Overall it was a wonderful vacation and we will be back next year.

We love staying on the first floor at Destin West and being able to just walk out to the pool or beach. No stuffy elevators or stairs to climb! This condo had everything that we needed in the way of utensils, pot & pans, etc. There were just a couple things that were disappointing. The sheets in the master bed are very cheap and worn. You could feel the pill balls on the sheets from many, many washings. Also, for a condo that sleeps 8, there were only 4 large bath towels (2 in each bathroom). I had to end up walking over to the office for more after never getting them from housekeeping per my first call. I called again the next day and was told it would be faster if I went to the office. For the price of rental, I would expect better sheets and definitely more towels. The one thing that I was pleasantly surprised was that there were no drain gnats/flies. If you have ever stayed at the condos on the gulf side, you probably have experienced these pesty gnats. I have stayed at several different condos on the gulfside and experienced the same, so I came prepared with vinegar, salt and baking soda, but never saw a single gnat. One last thing that I think would be a great add -- a Smart TV. Anyone staying there could then log into their own Netflix, Hulu, etc to watch a movie at night. Otherwise, a great location ... we love Destin West Beach Resort! This was our 6th time staying there.

We were on the first floor which gave us a larger patio area. Our unit was in a good location not far from the garage, pool and hot tub outside our door, a short walk to the ocean. We had a two bedroom& two bathrooms
It was great that we had a washer / dryer especially since we were there for two months. . The unit itself needs some updating. The master bath must of had a water leak around the shower different areas were patched up. Having guests it was very comfortable. I would recommend the tile floors should be steamed cleaned. Yes, there were some issues but on the total time there we were very happy in the unit. I would recommend the unit. We did reserve it again for next year and we are looking forward to coming back.

We love staying at Destin west and recommend to everyone we know. It’s always so clean and everyone is nice, except for the “security” at the pool that is rude every time we are there. Luckily that doesn’t ruin anything, of course. We are already planning our next stay

We loved the location of the Destin West property, however the unit could use a little work. It was not very clean upon arrival, and the beds were not fully made. There were spare sheets, but no pillow cases, and the toaster was very old and didn't work. We did, however, love having the washer and dryer, and loved the convenience of the walk-out to the pool. We also really appreciated the pool and beach toys that were left for our use. Property management was not very communicative prior to our stay, and I had to call multiple times before getting a response with questions. It seems they may be short staffed.

We have stayed in this condo 3 different times and stayed at destin west 7 times. We come every year. We love the convenience of the pool/beach/boat rental/restaurants, etc.

The condo was very nice and spacious. Loved that it sleeps 9. Well equipped kitchen and convenient ground floor walk to the hot tub. Only problem was that the washer was not working properly.
