For the ultimate waterfront getaway, explore the Bayside Condos at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort. Each condo features a private balcony with breathtaking views of the resort, with many offering stunning views of Choctawhatchee Bay and our 700-foot Lazy River. Our spacious Bayside Condos are available in one, two, and three-bedroom configurations, with many units offering additional bunk rooms and/or sleeper sofas to accommodate extra guests and provide flexible sleeping arrangements. All Bayside condos are just a short walk from the Lazy River, Choctawhatchee Bay, Marina, and Fishing Pier. Additionally, all of our condos provide access to the full range of amenities on both sides of Destin West Beach and Bay Resort. The Gulfside Pools and the private beach are easily and safely accessible via the Pedestrian Bridge.

Stay steps from the Lazy River at Bayside
Can Gulfside guests use the Lazy River? Yes! All guests of Destin West Vacations, regardless of where your condo is located, have full access to the Bayside amenities. If you are staying in our Gulfside Condos or Gulfside Villas, simply take the safe, private Skybridge over Highway 98. It is a short, easy walk that connects you directly to the Lazy River complex.
Where is the best place to stay for Lazy River access? While the entire resort has access, the Bayside Condos are located directly above or adjacent to the river.

Destin West Heron and Destin West Osprey: These newer buildings overlook the bay and pool deck, offering the quickest elevator access to the water.

Destin West Pelican and Destin West Sandpiper: These buildings wrap around the amenity deck, providing stunning views of the river winding through the palms.
Are tubes provided? Yes, clear inner tubes are provided for guest use at the Lazy River entrance. You do not need to bring your own large inflatables.
Is the Lazy River heated? The 700-foot Lazy River is not heated, making it refreshing in the summer. However, the Bayside complex features two large hot tubs and a smaller heated pool (The Waterfall Pool) for year-round enjoyment.
The "Neon Night" Experience: Don't just visit during the day. The Lazy River is illuminated with special underwater neon lights in the evening, creating a magical glow. It is open daily until 10:00 PM, making it the perfect spot to wind down after dinner at The Boardwalk.
