First Time I’ve Ever Stayed Here,Great Place For A Quick Getaway.

We enjoyed our 1 month stay In February.
The good: nice location. Walkable to several bars. Especially enjoyed happy hour at the Angler. Say hi to Destiny. Unit had a great view and balcony to enjoy it. Access to beach and pools. Very quiet. Tom Thumb nearby for snacks and beverages.

What was missing/could help make better: no washer/dryer. We had friends staying nearby with washer/dryer so unit worked for us, however. Would be nice if had shutters for window like opening between bedroom and living room area. No closet and no wall hooks. Knowing that from other reviews wr brought with an over the door wall hook unit which helped. Adding some wall hooks would be nice. There is a couple dressers which helped. Minimal cupboard/drawers. This unit probably best for shorter term stays but worked for us. Bed mattress ok but bed squeaks. Could use update especially frame and box spring. The patio door was hard to open. Cleaned track but still was hard to pull. Maintenance came and found it was off track but also needed new bearings. So was better and if /when bearings fixed should be great. It wasn’t filthy but was in need of deep cleaning. Since we were staying a month and had a few rainy days at beginning of our stay did some cleaning on our own with supplies from Dollar Tree. This included a deep clean of shower (bleach removed all mold - at least as of February), washed doors and walls as high as could reach, dusted upper walls, ceiling fixtures, deep cleaned kitchen, spot cleaned couch and wiped down all furniture and cabinets, mopped floor several times, mended tear found in decorative bed pillow. I tried to make it as spotless as possible for ourselves and the next guests. ( And yes I’m a bit of a clean freak. Brought my own vacuum with. There was a broom supplied though.)

Overall would stay there again in this unit.

The room is in a perfect location for food, parking, beach and all pools. Sleeper sofa could be updated,I slept on blowup mattress. This is the second time we stayed in this room.

The property was very nice. Our villa was convenient but could have some updates. Bed very squeaky and seemed small. Slider to balcony VERY hard to open. Would be nice to be able to reserve our beach chairs once for week and not have to stand in line every morning to get a chair. The pools were nice and the beach was wonderful.

The experience was great. The only problem we had was the bed every time you roll over or got in or out of bed it squeaked. Another issue we had was every time the a/c would kick on then off there was a fowl odor coming in, we did let the management no so it would be fixed for the people. Also since it does not have a closet it needs some more hooks in the bathroom and maybe some in the hall or other parts to hang things. But other than those things it was a great unit and we would stay here again.

I loved the location, you can see the beach from window and balcony. It is positioned right between beach and Bayside pools. Everything including parking was close by. The sofa sleeper was comfortable, but the bed was not. And bed made a lot of noise when you room over. All in all I will be back. The pools are wonderful, and so many to choose from. I stayed in v501.

We had the best time! The room and views were amazing! The beach was right there and there were so many other activities close by that you really didn’t have to drive any place. We had a wonderful time and would definitely rent this unit again!

Overall the experience was wonderful. We Will be staying at Destin West again. Only complaints about the room is the bed is noisy with any toss and turn- also I recommend getting a pan for cooking as there were pots but not a pan.

There was blood on the couch throw pillow. The couch was soooooo disgusting. Looks like it had never been cleaned before. Also no blankets for the couch bed.

Great location. The unit needs a thorough cleaning of bedspread and pillow set. Couch needs a thorough cleaning. Sliding door tracks need cleaned as door was extremely difficult to open and close. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and rental management company was awesome in planning our trip as well as information when we arrived and during our stay.
